I have worked for the past 6 years in the Chicago suburbs as a full time social studies teacher. My experience includes United States History, Psychology, World History and Economics. In addition, I have successfully prepared students for the ACT with test prep strategies in reading.
I believe it is important for the tutoring experience to be interactive providing both instruction and guidance, but also practice, application and synthesis of the content on the part of the student. My hope is for students to walk away with both content mastery and a development of essential skills that will bring success in the future.
