So why do I want to teach? It has been a long journey, but my love of children has finally given me the courage to pursue my dream. My children have shown me how wonderfully rewarding it can be to teach children. After being a mom, it is not such a great leap to being a teacher. I am a certified Elementary Education teacher. I have hands on experience that I have loved. I enjoy helping them and seeing the joy in their accomplishments. I like to help the children that have trouble staying on task or fitting in. I believe that each child should have the opportunity to receive the best education for each of them. I believe that I have a lot to offer to the children I will be teaching.
I have experience working with children of varying abilities, from gifted to ADHD, both in the classroom and with my own children. I understand, being a parent myself, that it is hard to work with your own children and I would also try to help develop an attitude of tolerance from your children to accept parental help. I believe that having a set study time and set study place, especially at the grade school level is important in teaching children the discipline it takes to get good grades.
I enjoy working with elementary school aged children. I have worked with all subjects pertaining to elementary school. I especially love working with math, reading, and spelling. I believe in challenging each student to reach their full potential with encouragement and hard work.
