Hello! I am currently a senior at Northwestern University studying engineering. I have tutored many high school students with different academic interests and aptitudes in Math
, and Writing
as well as SAT Test
Taking. My strength is my ability to analyze my student's learning styles and simplify subjects in a personalized manner. Tutoring should be a fun and encouraging experience for students!
Because I am young and still a student myself, I am patient and relatable. I am very familiar with modern curriculum and understand what it takes for my students to succeed. Math and Science can be intimidating and frustrating, especially when the topics don't click right away. I believe that anyone can develop an aptitude towards Math and Science with good instruction and study habits.
specialty subjects are Math and Writing. I experienced great success in these test subjects and have studied what factors led to this success. I spend time setting goals with my students and I understand how to cater my teaching to meet individual goals. All of my students have shown significant improvement in their SAT scores after a few tutoring sessions. My goal is to inspire confidence by providing students with a strong foundation in SAT topics.
I work with all of my students on their organizational and study habits. These skills are vital in higher education and the professional setting. I have used these techniques as a foundation for providing college and career guidance. I specialize in writing/editing
resumes and essays for various applications. I enjoy analyzing individual strengths and interests in order to develop personalized action plans. I am very familiar with the college application
process-- how to identify the right college and what colleges are looking for. In addition, I have worked extensively with online professional sites such as LinkedIn. I understand how to approach the college, internship, and job search process in an organized and strategic fashion.
Thanks for viewing my profile! Feel free to contact me with any questions and concerns. I am more than willing to speak with clients prior to tutoring sessions!
