I've been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) for more than two years to people from all around the world. Would you like to be next?
I started teaching beginner English to children in Japan three years ago, and I have been teaching high-level English to teenagers and adults in New York City since last year. I specialize in communication-based skills, and I focus on helping you remember important English grammar and vocabulary through real-life situations.
Debates, presentations, research, documentaries, news, movies, lectures, interviews, essays: do you need help understanding these, or responding to these? I can help make these fun and familiar, and you can stop worrying about English, and think about the information instead.
I also specialize in pronunciation/accent errors, and study skills for the TOEFL. I have a lot of experience for basic students in English as well, and we can work on necessary basic communication skills for everyday life.
I've been teaching various skills to all age groups (very young children to older adults) for almost ten years, and my goal has always been to share the necessary information in an enthusiastic environment that's focused on the learner. It's all about what you need to and want to learn. I'm here to give you methods and strategies that work, correct you when you make a mistake, and help you stay positive when English feels overwhelming!
