Hola a todos!

I am a licensed Spanish teacher with seven years of teaching experience. I am certified to teach all grades (K-12) and would also be willing to tutor specifically in preparation for future trips abroad. I have my undergraduate degree in Spanish and education and a MAT (Masters of Arts in Teaching) Spanish as well. I have spent extended time living and studying in Madrid, Spain. Also, I spent two summers planning and leading trips for groups American teens in Granada, Spain. I have spent time in various other Spanish speaking countries as well.

I absolutely love teaching and my students say that I am able to break down the concepts for them in fun, creative ways that are easy to remember. For example, one of my specialties is coming up with fun songs or rhymes to help remember grammar concepts and vocabulary words. I am also very energetic and positive.

I have taught and worked with all types of students- those who love Spanish, those who "hate" it, and everything in between. Whether you are looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead, I can help you out. I am very familiar with many of the commonly used textbooks and I have tons of material that I have made on my own as well. I am confident I will be able to help you achieve your goals with the Spanish language and I'm looking forward to working with you!

Grammar

Grammar has always been a specialty of mine. Although it might seem strange, learning Spanish grammar really allowed me to better explain English grammar concepts. I have edited many peers' papers throughout the years. Finding ways to tweak sentences and paragraphs to make them sound even better is something I really enjoy doing.
