I have been a high school Spanish teacher for the past 18 years and I am also Bilingual Certified. I have taught Spanish levels 1-4, Native Speakers Spanish, Dual Language Spanish/Social Studies and ESL. I am a lifelong learner and keep up on the latest best practices in teaching. In 2010 I received my National Board Teaching Certificate, proving my effectiveness in the classroom.
My ex-husband only spoke Spanish and it was our first language in the home for 11 years. I understand the culture and have studied and traveled to Latin America many times. Because I am currently in the classroom, I am aware of the current requirements and scope and sequence of language learning.
