My name is Emily, and I would love to tutor you or your child. I graduated with a dual degree in anthropology and archaeology from Washington University. I received my masters in the social sciences from the University of Chicago, and my masters in teaching (secondary education) from National Louis.
I left teaching to stay at home with my twin girls, now 2.5 years old. I love to teach and am a life-long learner. My areas of expertise include Hebrew, particularly B'nai Mitzvah training, the social sciences, and English. I have experience with students from 4th grade to high school. In general, I favor a "hands-on" approach to teaching that involves a lot of interaction between the tutor and student and concrete experiences in addition to worksheets. However, my specific methods vary according to the subject being taught and the learning style of the student.
I look forward to hearing from you!
