Hey guys, I'm Brett. Want to learn about photography and have a TON of fun in the process? Well I'm the guy for you! First let me tell you a little about my photography background.
I have my bachelor's degree in photography from Columbia College Chicago with a concentration in Photojournalism.
I am a professional working photojournalist, specializing in covering Motorsport photography like NASCAR, Indycar, and NHRA drag racing. I cover Motorsports for LAT Photo USA, which is the biggest Motorsport photo agency in the world. When racing is in the off season I cover competitive cheerleading events around the country. I also photograph assignments for the Northwest Herald newspaper during the week. I have been published in over a dozen publications including Speedway Illustrated and RACER magazine, which includes 2 covers and 6 front pages.
I am also a member of the prestigious National Motorsports Press Association (N.M.P.A), which only the best in the country are given membership. In my first year in 2012 I also took home a 1st place award during the photos of the year awards ceremony.
I also do event photography and enviromental portraiture (using natural light, no studio) in my free time.
I will teach you hands on how to fully use your camera and think more conceptually, taking your work from silly snapshots, to truly beautiful photographs. I have learned that teaching hands on in photography is the most effective way of learning, especially with a camera.
I can also offer lessons in post production. I am very knowledgeable in Adobe Photoshop and Photo Mechanic, 2 programs I would not survive without.
I can also offer lessons to teach you how to cover all types of sports, events, weddings, and portraiture. If you like what you see and would like to learn more feel free to contact me. Can't wait to work with you!
