Greetings future Charterholders,
I am a 27 year-old finance professional currently working in sell-side equity research. I graduated with degrees in finance and business economics from Indiana University in 2009. I successfully completed level 1 of the CFA exam in December 2009, level 2 in June of 2010, and level 3 in June of 2011. Though I am currently in the process of transitioning out of a career in finance, I'd like to put some of my skills and experience taking the exams to good use helping others prepare for the June 2014 exams. I did not use any test preparation books/services (Stalla, Schweser, etc.) for any of the exams. I passed all the exams using only the books provided and free online resources, so if you're going that route, know that it certainly can be done. For anyone feeling discouraged or overwhelmed by the CFA exam, just know that I'm no high-level genius, but I was successful in passing all three exams on the first try by applying a rigorous study regimen with good test preparation practices. I have a fair amount of professional experience and can help explain how concepts apply to the real world. So anyone needing a little extra help preparing for the exams, whether it be Ethics, Financial Reporting & Analysis, Fixed Income, etc. I can help!
I live in downtown Chicago and don't currently own a car, so I'm really only looking to provide my tutoring services to people living in the city.
Best of luck everyone!
