--- CURRENTLY SEEKING STUDENTS ---
I am a practicing mechanical engineer with bachelor's and master's degrees from Purdue University. I have recently passed the state engineering licensing exams so my math, physics, and chemistry fundamentals are strong and up-to-date.
My teaching and mentoring experience includes:
- Graduate school teaching assistant with laboratory, lecturing and mentoring responsibilities for 30 students.
- Undergraduate engineering tutor for calculus, engineering analysis, mechanical engineering (Purdue and Northwester Universities)
- High school tutor for physics, Pre-Calc, and Science Olympiad
I live in the Ravenswood neighborhood and work in the Loop. Willing to travel by CTA after work during the week to meet potential students so long as my commute is reasonable. During weekends I am willing to travel by car.
Best fit students for me include high school through undergraduate level students seeking help in math, physics, inorganic chemistry, mechanical engineering, or related technical fields. I am also comfortable helping students or professionals prepare for standardized tests including the ACT, SAT, and the GRE.
Pay is negotiable, but listed at the high end considering my background. I am willing to negotiate based on commute, hours per week, or student age, subjects taught, etc.
Reach out if you are interested in the services of a young engineering professional.
