I love teaching!
Most of my teaching experience is with music, but I have also taught German for the last four years. I have played the piano and sung my heart out for over 20 years and went to one of the nation's most highly regarded conservatories, Lawrence University, for both piano and voice. At Lawrence, I was a double major in German as well, and was able to study abroad during my time in undergrad. Directly following undergrad (2009-2010), I was accepted as a Fulbright scholar where I taught English and focused on learning the German language in the former East Germany, near Leipzig.
Since moving to Chicago in 2010, I have taught private lessons for voice, piano, and German, and have also taught for high school band and choir.
Each student is unique, and I treat everyone as individuals. I have some go-to repertoire for voice and piano, but depending on the student's goals I am completely flexible.
I'm looking forward to meeting you!
