I am the most effective voice and performance coach. Be it Opera, Jazz, Pop, Dance, Techno, Country, R&B, Blues or Latin, I guarantee that I will deliver measurable results for you. My unconventional approach to assessing and meeting the specific needs of each student enables me to assist them in bringing out the very best in their capabilities while making them feel comfortable. If you desire quality, effectiveness and noticeable improvement in your singing, writing, public speaking or overall performance, I am the coach for you! Not only am I a coach, but I am also a performing and recording artist who understands what it's like to walk the walk.
I currently have 4 songs in mainstream international rotation, with over 400 spins per day worldwide and am highly-acclaimed by many jazz, pop, r&b and hip-hop legends. I am also a NESTA- certified wellness coach so I employ a holistic, whole-mind/body method to train and condition the entire body as an instrument, not just the voice. I have the privilege of being a classically-trained pianist and vocalist, having studied at Sherwood Conservatory of Music, Vandercook College of Music, The Second City, University of Chicago, ETA Creative Arts Center and many other fine institutions.
My five-octave vocal range and perfect-pitch have afforded me opportunities to work with many international artists. Additionally, I sing in seven languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German and Latin, and I am adept in aiding my students in overcoming speech impediments and enhancing their own vocal range.

Some of my specializations include:
Improved Singing Voice
Voice Acting
Overcoming Performance Anxiety
Creative Writing
Concert, Audition and Competition Preparation
Public Speaking
Post-Surgical and Physical Maintenance of the Vocal Instrument
Overcoming Speech Impediments
Studio Recording Techniques
Image Development
On-Location Assistance
Vocal Range Enhancement
Children as well as adults enjoy my classes because I make excellent use of our time together in a very fun and enjoyable manner. Group classes are also available at a discounted per-student rate.
If your voice isn't becoming to you, you should be coming to me!

Ear Training

I have been trained in both music theory as well as "playing by ear" at Sherwood Censervatory of Music (1987-2000) and Vandercook College of Music (1994-2001). I have been told by several instructors and critics that I possess "perfect pitch" and that is a quality that very few can say that they have. I am able to detect and correct keys of songs by listening to them and conveying this ability to students as well.

Public Speaking

Being a seasoned musical performer, I have also been in several theatrical productions and have given several speeches and addresses to large crowds (exceeding 10,000 perople). My speaking voice is well-developed and I am succesful at assisting people overcome stage-fright and poor speech-writing. I exude confidence while on stage and assist others to do the same. I also employ avant-garde methods (many of which are fun mental exercises) to assist students with conveying a clear, concise, effective message to their audiences.

I have written over 1,000 songs, with several of them published and produced for mainstream distribution. Many major artists (cannot disclose names due to confidentiality agreements) have recorded songs that I have written in several genres including pop, r&b, country, hip hop, jazz and Latin.

I tutored Spanish for the Office of Special Programs at The University of Chicago for five years. I love the language and have a proficiency in its conversational and grammatical usage.

Special Needs

From 1998 to 2003 I was a teacher's aide at University of Chicago's Office of Special Programs. I taught Spanish and music to many students with learning disabilities and behavioral problems. I incorporate confidence-building into each session because I believe that success starts with self-confidence. Many students with special needs don't have the confidence in themselves to pursue their goals so I encourage them using student-specific techniques. My students are motivated and feel engaged in activities from which they once felt alienated.

From 1990 to the present, I have been cast in television shows, including hosting my own talk show in 1991 called Positive Images Live. I have been a memeber of several theatre troupes and have studied theater at Second City and ETA Creative Arts Foundation.

Voice (Music)

I have won every singing competition that I have been a part of. Most singers have a 3-octave range at best; I have a 5-octave vocal range. I have been trained in several singing methods including Bel Canto (opera), open throat method and many other less-formal methods as well. I also sing in six languages and have successfully assisted students overcome speech impediments and accent barriers while singing.

Have always gotten A's on writing assignments throughout my educational career and have been paid to write speeches, essays and reports for many people with successful results.
