I graduated with a Ph.D. (cum Laude) in Immunology, Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Technical University of Munich. Currently, I hold junior faculty position at the Instructor level at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. At this position, my duties include: clinical research, lecturing basic and advanced Immunology, as well as mentoring Ph.D. candidates, medical students and technicians. Regarding teaching, I think the biological science attracts curious minds interested in discovering a piece of the puzzle. My teaching philosophy is relatively straightforward; interactions with me should leave the student richer and more knowledgeable in the field of interest. The ultimate goal is to pass on my passion for the biological sciences to the next generation. During lectures, in an effort to liberate students from taking notes, I employ PowerPoint slides to provide pertinent points. Finally, outside lecture hours, I am largely available to answer pressing questions students might have.
