My work experience includes 22 years as an Information Technology professional, performing as a developer, analyst, team and project leader, and manager. This experience led to an opportunity as Technology Coordinator at Hales Franciscan High School. I transitioned to teaching in 2003, obtained my Type 03 certificate and MAT in Elementary Education from National-Louis University and have gained 10 years’ experience teaching at both the middle school and high school level.
I am very much interested in tutoring, as it seems like an effective way to connect with students and address the issues unique to their learning styles. While I still enjoy the classroom, I feel like any and every child I can help is a huge victory for a teacher, regardless of the setting.
I have a particularly good rapport with teens and am passionate about teaching. I recently lost my wife of 34 years and together we raised three beautiful children, all grown, all with Master’s degrees. I am extremely family oriented and consider it a blessing to have 50 year friends.
I look forward to speaking with you regarding this opportunity and sharing in more detail my qualifications.
