I am a recent graduate from the University of Florida who is now applying to medical school. I graduated with honors and a double major in Chemistry and Microbiology & Cell Science in three years. Currently, I am in Chicago conducting research at the University of Illinois at Chicago's Medical Center. I've had a strong background in the sciences and math not only throughout college, but through my high school years as well. I was in the IB program and also took many AP classes and achieved high scores on all tests. As such, I have tutored many students ranging from the middle school level through university in a variety of subjects from basic maths to foreign language to immunology. As of right now however, I feel I am most comfortable with science and math subjects, but if needed I can offer help in other areas.
Most of my previous tutoring has been voluntary and as a result, I have gained experience with a wide range of students with an even wider range of learning styles. I understand that each student learns at their own pace and some instruction is more helpful than others. I also faced issues where I had to approach the material from a completely different angle to better understand the concepts. I feel that I can relate to my students as I have recently gone through the same classes, tests, and struggles that they are experiencing now. I can offer insights and advice with my own experience fresh in mind. My teaching style adjusts for each student and their needs so hopefully we can be a good fit.
Please feel free to ask me any questions!
