I love mathematics so much that I sometimes just want to spend all of my time working on math problems. During my senior year in high school, I was taking AP Calculus and I enjoyed that class the most. Being the representative in that class, I spent lots of time after school helping classmates with their homework, preparing for quizzes and exams. I enjoyed teaching them, guiding them, and leading them through the understanding of the concepts. My teaching method was the following: ask them to read and understand the questions first; guide them to the correct method; help them to solve the problems with the correct method.
Being the president of the math team, I loved doing math competitive problems in preparing for the competition; I love working on the problems with classmates and the teacher; I love the process of discussing the problems with them and finally got the results. I felt accomplished by mastering only one small step of the problem. My way to find a solution to a math problem is quite simple: keep doing it, thinking it, and never say give up, you will reach enlightenment and finally get the solution.
I wish I can help every student who need help from me. When I was a junior in high school and during the time of preparing for the ACT, I spent much time doing math problems, finally I was able to get a 29 out of 36 on the math section. I can help anyone who needs help with their math section in the ACT Exam get a better score. I immigrated to the United States three years ago with excellent Chinese speaking skills, I understand Chinese very well; speak Chinese frequently, and write Chinese excellently.
