We were extremely satisfied with David's help in Java; never imagining it would be handled in one session! Very knowledgeable!
Tamia from Kansas City, MO on 4/1/14
I had lessons with David and he was more than helpful. He took it slow and ensured I knew what I was doing when our session was over. Very smart and knows what he is talking about.

David is very dedicate to teach. Despite long distance, he took time to explain and write note on my broken program so I do not make the same mistake.

"Patient and Professional Educator"

David efficiently communicates technically demanding information in way that is interpretable to all individuals. As a college junior pursuing two computer related degrees, I would recommend David to anyone looking to better understand computer subject matter, especially databases.
"Great Overall Tutor!"
Akash from Williston Park, NY on 3/4/14
David has helped me with a subject that I was previously struggling with and now I find that same subject to be very simple, thanks to his tutoring. He provides in-depth information on each section and provides examples that go along with the lessons.
He also lets you take control so that he can check whether or not you have a thorough understanding of what you are learning. Overall, David is a great tutor and I would recommend him for anyone who is struggling with a class, like I was, or anyone who would like to learn more, in general.
"David is amazing"
Michael from Newton Center, MA on 2/24/14
David has changed my life. I went into the tutoring doubting all of my skills in learning web development. He is patient and helpful and really changed my ability to be able to approach problems. He is a great guy and a great tutor. I can definitely say that I would gladly recommend David to anyone.
"Best and the most knowledgeable tutor on this earth! "

If you are in need of an excellent tutor David is the man!!! He is the most knowledgeable tutor and I can guarantee you that you will definitely pass your class. He is very detailed and always available if I have questions or help. He also provides written explanations on every assignment. A tutor like him is very rare to find. I'm glad that I found a tutor like him who is very devoted to his/her student's success. Way to go David!

"Very Poor Tutor"
Keith from Snellville, GA on 2/20/14
After spending nearly $500.00 in tutoring fees with David A., my son received a 51% on an important test in Computer Science. This is an AP class and is very important to his future success. David A. does not seem to listen very well. He just seems to like to hear himself talk and does not answer questions. His main focus is to simply burn through hours of time so he can get paid. When my son asks for help on a specific assignment, David A. tells him he will help him next session. This guy is a rip-off artist!
David replied on 2/22/2014:
Very Poor, Dishonest and Emotional Review:
Fortunately the other reviews speak for themselves.I commend such people for their honesty, patience and their kind words. You have refused to cooperate with me, from day one, not even providing your phone number nor contacting me to update you on your son's progress. Not even once after tutoring!
Also patience is necessary for learning as well as practice (although I have had some students who instantly got an A on tests after only one 2 hour session, it's not always that rosy}. Some children need patience not pressure.
Surely investing in your son's future cannot be such a painful thing that you have to get so emotional you lose all reason? Speak to your son before you jump to conclusions. I use generally the same approach (not lecturing)-I guide the student as I let him write the code himself in Eclipse and explain, guide and correct him using simple examples as much as possible. It works- look at all the other reviews. AP Java.
Even though you had been skeptical from the start, after you sat through the first session how come you gave me a 4/5 stars if you didn't approve of my teaching style? That was the only session you were present and now you say I like to hear myself talk? And why did you and your son continue to schedule lessons if I was as you say simply lecturing and not asking questions? You also gave me 5/5 stars after some of these lessons so after one bad exam, if you're not happy about the money and your son's score this week that is no reason to call me (and indirectly my other students liars:most of them have wonderful reviews as we can all see).
Have you tried talking non-stop for a whole hour straight without pausing to ask another person to respond? I'm sorry I have never had that kind of energy. I'll remain professional and devoted to my student's success.
"Best tutor EVER. He's the WU TANG of tutors!!!"
Joseph from Orange Beach, AL on 2/13/14
Someone who explains things and makes you feel smarter. By the end of it you are a better person. The website works great. This tutor could be used in their official commercial. He's that good.

Shelia from Montgomery, AL on 12/12/13
I came to David needing help with Java and he taught me a lot. The things that I should have learned in class and I did not grasp the information and he began from the beginning and really made sure that I was able to understand the material before he introduced new material. His standards for making sure you understand the material is above and beyond superb professionalism. I really learned a lot from him and I am grateful to have met him and it goes without saying that with his guidance I was able to pass my class with an A. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Andra from San Diego, CA on 12/2/13

"Great Tutor for Database SQL"
Yasmina from Washington, DC on 11/11/13
David is an awesome tutor. He has his ways of explaining everything which made it much easier for me to understand so basically he makes it seem so simple... so when you actually solve it by yourself it makes perfect sense. Whoever is having difficulties in Database, I highly recommend David! He's really great and because of him I actually started loving the material!
"Great Tutor, takes the time to help!"
Jose from Oceanside, CA on 11/9/13
David was patient and tutored around my schedule. He showed me the main points to web design. His knowledge about Web Design helped me learn how to pass my class with an A+ and now I understand the material to continue further classes on my own. I now have the confidence to do my assignments on my own. Great Tutor!
"Excel expert, great tutor."
Kim from Allen, TX on 11/6/13
My session with David exceeded expectations. David was very responsive, and punctual. I mention this because other tutors did not follow through after the initial exchange of emails. David's knowledge of Excel was demonstrated in that he helped me met me where I was. He did not rigidly take me through steps for the sake of following a generic lesson plan, but every topic was specific to my needs. This flexibility was appreciated because I got exactly what I needed plus additional info that I wouldn't have known to request. Our time was efficiently used, and David's desire for this student to learn was very clear. Thank you.
"Extremely helpful - extends himself a lot."
Jeanne from Yorktown, VA on 10/25/13
I found David A. to be so much more than what I expected. No matter how many times I asked a question, he went over it so simply and clearly that even I got it, and I am not that computer literate. I needed help learning the 2010 version of Excel and Word to prepare for a test I had to take for a job. My test scores not only met what the Company required for employment, it by far exceeded that goal and put me on the very top of the list. My scores were great. I very highly recommend him to anyone looking for a tutor. He is honest, helpful, and genuinely concerned about his students.
"Great Java Tutor"
Sally from El Mirage, AZ on 10/10/13
David is a very patient and helpful tutor. He is helping me and my husband to better understand java and explains why it is written the way it is. He is making it fun for us to learn java. We actually look forward to meeting with him every week. I highly recommend David for any of your tutoring needs.
We just finished our Java Programming class and thanks to David's wonderful and patient tutoring we were able to pass our class with excellent grades. I would recommend David as tutor for anyone who needs that extra bit of help understanding the sometimes strange concepts that are java programming. His approach is to use relateable topics and makes it fun yet he will challenge you to remember what he talks about. He is a true asset to Wyzant as a tutor and he has a great laugh!
David replied on 10/10/2013:
Thanks Sally. I appreciate that you and your husband were willing to try the skype online tool and that made all of this possible. In addition, your positive attitude and cheerful spirit made our sessions a blessing for me. All the best in all your endeavors.
Hoang from Lawrenceville, GA on 9/7/13
David is very knowledgeable in Java. He is able to breakdown Java concepts on a level that makes sense by using real world examples. He is also patient, encouraging, and is willing to go over the materials until I fully understand before moving on. David is a great tutor.
"Very enthusiastic, passionate and open minded! Great tutor "
William from Franklin, MA on 9/7/13
David is a very enthusiastic teacher for Java. Not does he only have a great passion for Java, he also has a great passion in teaching Java. He tries to break down everything nicely and present them in a way that you may understand easily based on your existing knowledge of Java. He tries to find out what level you are currently at with Java to better assist you in preparing courses.
He not only make sure you understand his classes, but he want to make sure you are understanding what he wanted you to learn, by giving you projects, and some side presentation materials, etc.
He is very open minded, passionate and gives great advises. I would like to recommend him as your Java tutor.
David replied on 3/31/2014:
Thanks William. Your eagerness to learn Java and other platforms such as SQL, all via skype made this a great experience for both of us. I hope you're able to find time from work to keep practicing your Java.
Ryan from Powder Springs, GA on 7/20/13

David not only provided in-depth instruction, but he made so I wished he was the instructor. I would refer him in a minute if you should find yourself in a JAVA class without guidance or direction.
David replied on 3/31/2014:
Thanks for being my first feedback (and all positive too). It means a lot even now.
