After studying Secondary English Education at Bradley University for three years, and teaching at the Peoria Alternative High School before it's closing I've learned that individual help is essential to the learning and mental growth of students. A former America Reads tutor at Common Place and St. Marks, my joy is teaching students and enhancing their comprehension skills in a fun and interactive environment.

I have successfully tutored my students in preparation the ACT and International Baccalaureate exams, as well as preparation for college entrance exams. I create detailed and focused lesson plans so that students exceed grade levels in writing, language arts, and reading comprehension. I also work and hone skills for students K-8 in core subjects (mathematics, science, history, social science and English).
