I am currently working on a creative nonfiction dissertation, and I'm in the last year of my PhD teaching college students composition, literature, and creative writing. Before entering academia, I taught pre-schoolers at the JCC as well as served as a camp counselor and ran special activities programs such as playwriting, the drama club, and dance lessons.
In New York City, I trained as an actress and singer and then became a reporter for a local newspaper.
Overall, I offer a creative, strengths based approach to engaging with children and believe in problem solving and teaching youngsters how to become more self-reliant. I'm a high energy, personable woman in her thirties who is mature and responsible with a fun sense of humor.
