I am very excited for the opportunity to tutor you or your child! In an effort to summarize my qualifications, I will briefly describe relevant experiences. However, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I currently am an adjunct faculty member at various colleges, extern at an outpatient center where my primary role is to evaluate and assess children and adolescents for learning disabilities, ADHD, mood disorders, neurological conditions, and developmental disorders. However, I also love working with adults! I teach psychology courses and study skills courses at the college/university level. Prior to becoming a professor, I was a tutor at my university where I helped undergraduate and graduate students in writing and mathematics. Based on these experiences, I am most confident in my ability to tutor most any subjects K-8, algebra at the high school level, reading, and writing at any level.
I hope that all of these experiences demonstrates how passionate I am about helping others - both psychologically and academically! It is nearly impossible for me to describe how rewarding it is to see anyone learn and grow, and believe it to be an honor to be part of this process. I am patient and kind, but at the same time demand critical thinking skills; I try to use examples that are engaging and hope to (gently) push others to not only reach their potential, but more importantly, believe in it.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions. I would be happy to provide any more information you may need. I imagine that selecting a tutor is no easy task, as often it is not only about qualifications - but also a question of goodness of fit. And so, if there is anything I can do to make your process easier, please let me know.
I hope to speak with you soon! Should I not have the opportunity to do so, I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors.
