I am currently an English language teacher in Chicago, and have recently returned form living in Beijing, where I worked in training and HR for a state owned entreprise there. I have over five years of teaching experience with both adults and children. I have two years experience as a business and professional English teacher, from everything to dining out with clients to the proper register when sending emails. While I mainly have taught speaking and listening, I also have done some test preparation work, especially focusing on reading skills and presentations.
I am going to be an MBA candidate in the fall, and will make connections there that will be invaluable both for myself and the people that I have helped and been helped by. I can speak both Mandarin and Spanish, and as such can teach in bi-lingual settings for speakers of these languages. I live near Wrigley Field and work downtown, I can meet students near these locations and the northern suburbs that can be reached by the CTA.
