Math, Reading, Science, Writing! You need help? I've got it!

Hey students and parents, here's a few little facts about me! Let me start by saying that I am currently enrolled in Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and I am I'm pursuit of three separate degrees at once; mathematics, computational physics, and electrical engineering! You might think that's a lot, but these subjects go hand in hand and I'm not increasing my course load by that much.

Another thing you might like to know is that I am a professional fighter and I know a few different martial arts. I participated in numerous tournaments and luckily, I have not lost. In high school I was captain of both the swim team and water polo team for my hard work and dedication. I also received the MVP award each year for playing a huge part of the team.

As a tutor, I will make sure, to the best of my ability, that each and every one of my students will thoroughly understand the subject at hand. I'm confident that with me as your tutor, your troubles will become a distant memory.

Calculus

I took the AP BC calculus test my junior year in high school and passed it with a 5 (with an AB sub-score of 5 too). I aced the honors calculus class at the top of my class that year as well. My senior year I undertook multi-variable calculus (calc 3) as an independent study where I basically taught it to myself using outside resources.

Chemistry

I passed the AP chemistry exam in high school with flying colors and my background in physics further enhances my understanding of the science.

Physics

I have a passion for physics. I am currently majoring in Computational Physics at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale and as an undergraduate I was conducting research in quantum electronics! Other things that you might want to know is that while in high school I took three different AP exams for physics and scored a five on each. I am certain that with me your level of understanding in physics would greatly increase.

Prealgebra

I am a math major and the last course I took was intermediate differential equations so I can do almost any pre-algebra problem quickly in my head. I can easily explain it too. I have a 10 year old brother whom I already taught the subject and he is far ahead of his class.

Trigonometry

When it comes to math, I'm a natural. I took trigonometry in my freshman year of high school and aced it as the top of my class (and the youngest). I am certain I could have anyone master this topic with a little work and dedication.

ACT Math

A few years ago when I took the ACT I received a 36 on the math portion (on my first try) so you can be sure that I know this material well and can help you master it too.

Swimming

I have had a passion for swimming ever since I first went with my dad to coach the the Kelly High School girls' swim team when I was a little boy. I did not start swimming competitively until my sophomore year of high school. It was there where I flourished as a swimmer. Water Polo

Like swimming, I was captain and MVP of the water polo team at my high school each year. I always played every game and every quarter. I led the team in most completed passes, most goals, most yards dribbled, most steals, most blocks, and most game time. Differential Equations

I aced my differential equations at the top of my class. We covered how to find the general and particular solutions to first and second order ODEs of all forms. I also took a course in intermediate differential equations where we covered ODEs in multiple dimensions. We found the solutions through methods used in linear algebra (eigenvalues, eigenvectors, matrices, etc.). Martial Arts

I am an expert in Tae Kwon Do, Jeet Kune Do, Hap Ki Do, and Ji Do Kwon. I have been practicing these forms of martial arts for more than eight years. I have entered several tournaments and have yet to lose. The primary reason for this is that I am extremely disciplined and through my training I developed an intense sense of control over myself and my emotions.
