As I interact with high school and college students, I am repeatedly told that the subjects of science and English are their most hated areas of study. I'll admit that these subjects are not necessarily the most fun to read about, but I do think that these subjects are the most fun to interact with. Because of my love for science and English, I am studying both at Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, WI. One may wonder, "This guy loves science, and he loves English, but is that enough to make him a good teacher?" The answer should be, "No!" Just because someone loves his field does not mean he can teach it well. I not only love science, I also love teaching. I derive the greatest joy from seeing my students understand and apply the material that they once struggled with. I have tutored for almost two years under Maranatha Baptist Bible College's Learning Assistance Program. I also have experience working with learning disabilities such as ADHD and PTSD. Again, my goal is to make the subjects of science and English easy, fun, and worthwhile.
