Greetings!
I am a PhD student at Northwestern University where I study religion and American culture. I grew up in upstate New York, attended Columbia University in New York for my B.A., and currently live in Rogers Park, Chicago with my husband.
I have taught college-level courses for four years, mostly in the fields of world religions and American history, all of which included one-on-one work with students on reading and writing skills.
I am available to tutor middle, high school and college students in social studies, American history, world history, sociology, anthropology, as well as general reading, vocabulary and writings skills. I am familiar with the formats of the AP American and World history exams, as well as the SAT subject tests. Depending on your child's needs, I can teach in preparation for such exams, work on reading and writing skills, or simply act as a "homework helper."
Please contact me if you think we would be a good match!
