"Expect to have your child's vocabulary expanded!"

- Teresa, Chicago, IL on 2/23/14
Jason replied on 7/10/2014

Teresa's son is an excellent example of a young curious mind. I sometimes find that he is the one asking me for etymologies, long before I have gotten to that part of the process. His natural curiosity and interest in the "why" of English vocabulary is really gratifying. His expressiveness when he reads out-loud, and his insight into the narratives he reads, is also wonderful.

"Very Patient and Professional Tutor!"

- Morgan, Chicago, IL on 7/11/14
Jason replied on 7/11/2014

Morgan is not only an interesting student, but also an example of a great storyteller. His passion for his profession, and the details that he expresses in his writing are splendid. His interest in refining his understanding of formal and profession-specific English is really exemplary.

"Great job via email"

- Jim, Saint Petersburg, FL on 5/1/14

"Knows his stuff well."

- Abla, Chicago, IL on 1/13/14
Jason replied on 7/10/2014

Abla is a really dedicated student. Her interest in the literature wasn't just pro-forma or due to the fact that she "had" to read the assignments and respond. She genuinely has an abiding interest in the reasons behind why a piece is written the way it is; not only for why it was written, but why it is PRESENTED as it is. By extension, she showed great curiosity as to why particular bibliographies and syllabi were arranged by professors; what motivated their "take" on the subject matter, and how this affected her (the student's) understanding.
