An enthusiastic game designer with experience teaching children

Hello parents and students,

I'm excited at the opportunity to help you or your child learn and practice programming and other computer science skills. I have professional experience programming, designing games, managing large software projects, and teaching English as a second language.

Children in my programming and tech courses learned how to build games using free tools or by picking up a new programming language. I've taken students from zero experience to a working game prototype within as little as one week. I have also written the curriculum for a game programming course used by instructors across the nation in one of the most popular game design summer camps.

I also teach and tutor general programming in C++, C#, Java, and Flash AS3.

While teaching in Vietnam, I made chalk board games to play with my students in order to practice listening and pronunciation skills.

I love teaching others, and would love to help spread my enthusiasm in programming and game design to you or your child.

Adobe Flash

I have an undergraduate degree in Game and Simulation programming, professional game programming experience and create games in Flash for fun.

I have worked on teams to create unique educational mini games and a mobile game for Android.

C++ was the main language of study during my undergraduate time at DeVry.

Computer Programming

I have an undergraduate degree in Game and Simualtion programming, an internship and full time experience programming educational video games for children.

I have taught friends and students game design and game programming, and have written a C# game programming for Xbox curriculum.

I have also taken additional courses towards a master's degree in Software Engineering.

Computer Science

My undergraduate degree qualifies me to tutor computer science related topics. I know low level assembly programming as well as hardware assembly and computer architecture. Other topics are available as well.

C#

C# is a fun language for making games! My experience with C# dates back from 2008.

After working extensively with the language and designing many games, I wrote a C# games programming curriculum used by instructors nationwide at one of the most popular game creating summer camps in the US. I have an undergraduate degree in Game and Simulation programming as well.

Microsoft Project

I have taken a course in Microsoft Project at DeVry, as well as used it often for personal and professional projects.
