Since graduating with a degree in Elementary Education, I have taught kindergarten, first, second, third, and sixth grade in both public and private schools.

My specialty is teaching primary students who are struggling in Reading or Math. I am able to explain challenging concepts in a way that children can easily grasp. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Clarke University. I have 13 years of experience teaching Phonics to primary students (grades K-3). I was the director of a reading lab for 5 years. My staff and I served 120 first and second graders each year.

Study Skills

I have 15 years of experience teaching children how to improve their study skills. While teaching third grade for three years, more than 95% of my students met or exceeded on the ISAT. I have extensive experience teaching students how to study for tests, stay organized, take notes, and use test taking strategies.
