I am a native speaker of French and Arabic who has been teaching for nearly 10 years in a variety of subjects, including philosophy to advanced graduating high school students in Algeria, as well as private lessons in Arabic and French to students at different ages in France and the U.S.A.
My method of teaching language involves engaging students by invoking the cultural aspect of the language and the everyday life. It focuses on interacting with students in creative ways, rather than merely memorizing lists or terms and grammatical rules. Such teaching aids include body language, flash cards, songs, supplementary texts, current events, and activities such as conversations. This doesn't mean that I abandon the traditional methods of repetition and rote memorization, with which language learning cannot dispense.
I will set a regular evaluation. Evaluating students to help them to reinforce the language already taught and to prepare them for new lessons.
