I am currently an elementary school counselor for a Chicago Public School on the West Side of Chicago. I taught High School English for 10 years at a Chicago Public High School. I have a B.A. from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois; I have a B.A. in teaching 6th-12th in English. I have a Masters in the following areas from Northeastern Illinois University: English/History/Counseling. I have a type 75 certificate for Education Administration from Lewis University. I have a type 73, Master's in Counseling, certificate, from Northeastern Illinois University. I have been trained extensively in seminars in teaching methods such as scaffolding, Great Books, and teaching using complex text. As a teacher for Chicago Public Schools for 28 years, I have taught a large range of students from Gifted to Students with Disability. I have also taught a writing class for parents of students who want to become teachers. I am very dedicated to education, and I have the skills and experience to help students be successful at any level. I would love the opportunity to provide dedicated tutoring to yourself or your child.
