Hello, my name is Patrick and I have an uncanny knack for all things history. As an undergraduate at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, I majored in Political Science, and History was my minor. I never received lower than a B in History throughout my entire life. While I am new at the profession of tutoring, I helped many colleagues study this subject in high school and college, in fact a teacher once assigned me as a study partner for a struggling classmate in high school. That classmate ended up getting an A. I am well read and have a passion for education. As a social worker, as well as an older sibling of a person with Autism, I feel that I can bring a wide degree of patience and understanding to a field that can be very challenging for many. While it's never been clinically verified, I have nearly a photographic memory. This allows me to read and recite information very quickly, a skill I think would be of great benefit in this field. My constant rattling off of historical facts and figures has left many a friend suggesting that I teach History. Well, I'm not exactly in the market for a career change at the moment, but I would really like to share my skills in this subject in order to help students.
