I encourage my students to become independent learners, insomuch to eventually eliminate the need for my services. Although I am confident in my ability to break down scientific concepts and principles, my goal is to guide the student through the lesson plan and develop crucial study skills, while resorting to explanations to avoid hindering the flow of the lesson. Unfortunately, most students who request tutoring in science have lost confidence in themselves from the shortcomings of the educational system. It is important for me to practice patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement to gain the student's confidence back.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a double major in physics and chemistry, a minor in mathematics, and advanced coursework in molecular biology and astronomy. I have training and three years tutoring experience from my time in college.

I emailed Kyle with a month before my summer break was over and going into my sophomore fall term saying that I wanted help learning linear algebra. We met and immediately made significant progress and had the entire month planned out.

For me the key was that he was able to keep myself more organized and get me through the rougher portions of linear algebra. He is a great tutor and I highly recommend him. Anyone who can help a student through an entire curriculum of linear algebra in one month is incredibly talented in my mind. If you are looking for an intelligent tutor to keep you organized and help you learn the material, then he is the perfect tutor for you.

Kyle has been extremely helpful in preparing my daughter, who is a junior in high school, for both Pre-Calculus and AP Chemistry exams. He is very knowledgeable with the material, as well as thorough and patient when explaining things to my daughter. In addition, we have found him to be very professional. He is also flexible and easy to work with when it comes to scheduling sessions. We plan to continue working with Kyle and highly recommend him.

I had Kyle help me with 3 different math courses and they were all tough courses that required me to understand very tough math concepts. He was able to help me understand it very easily. He really knows how to explain things in a really simple way, and he is always prepared for each lesson, which really made it easy for me to get the most out of each lesson. If you're looking for someone who really knows what they're talking about and how to explain things, you should give Kyle a chance.

Kyle was an extraordinary tutor! Through showing me the most efficient ways to perform integral formulas, converging and diverging methods, and anti-derivative formulas, Kyle taught me how to ace the class in just a few short weeks. He is the easiest to work with and yields the best results of any tutor I've ever had. Usually a B student in math, I received a whopping 94% A (4.0) in Business Calculus 2 at DePaul University!

Kyle is a great tutor. He is thorough and effective in his teaching. Thanks to my tutoring sessions with him I improved my math ACT scores by 4 points and also got a 5/7 on my International Baccalaureate exam! I highly recommend him!

Kyle has been helping our daughter with High Honors Geometry and High Honors Physics. Not only does he have a very good command of the subject matters, but he also understands the "high school" mind and how to best challenge our daughter so that she has adapted well. She has a much better grasp of the subjects and as a result her grades have improved.

Kyle has been both courteous and considerate of our schedules.

We strongly recommend Kyle!

Kyle has been a great help to my son in going over advance level chemistry concepts and has been able to break it down well for him to grasp the subject and prepare for tests. He is very patient and is flexible to adjust his schedule according to my son's needs. I will surely recommend Kyle!

Kyle really made me understand calculus. He's very patient and explains things in multiple ways until you really get them. I don't think I could have gotten an A without his help!

I am very disappointed with his services. He does not answer phone calls nor e-mails. It took days and even weeks before I could get a response from him. Then he drops me being his student like a hot potato, on the excuse that he would not have the time to tutor anymore. Very disappointing.

I highly recommend Kyle as a tutor for high school math. Kyle helped my daughter to understand calculus concepts tremendously. She had been struggling in the class and Kyle has a terrific method of explaining the concepts in ways she can understand. It was especially helpful for her to meet with Kyle before tests or quizzes. They would review the topics and Kyle would help her through the areas that she was having problems with. Her grades in this class improved and so did her confidence. He was always punctual in meeting with her and accommodating with regards to scheduling sessions.

Kyle worked with my 17 year old son. The goal was to increase his ACT math score. My son was apprehensive about tutoring but Kyle put him at ease. He was on time, organized and communicated the goals for each session. I would recommend Kyle to any parent looking for a tutor.

Really understood my learning style, and gave me study tips in addition to helping me figure out my biggest/most common errors.

Kyle is an excellent tutor. He helped my daughter with ACT Math (Trigonometry). First of all, he saved the day by stepping in when a scheduling conflict occurred. He's very knowledgeable yet down to earth and encouraging. He made sure my daughter understood the problems, even when it meant changing his approach. My daughter feels much more confident. I highly recommend Kyle as a tutor.

I am an architecture student at Illinois Institute of Technology and was struggling big time with my structure class which requires different levels of Math. I tried a couple tutors before I found Kyle. He helped a lot to be more confident towards my math. Also put me on a level that I never thought I was going to be. I ended up helping some of my classmates at school over the summer class. I highly recommend Kyle as a Tutor.

Well I can say is that he is good at what he does and explains very clearly. I would definitely recommend him for college math. And I hope that he continues helping my kids in the future cuz he is awesome.

Kyle is an outstanding tutor and makes the most difficult problems very simple and gives me step by step explanations!

During the two lessons I had with Kyle, I learned more than I did in a month of school. It really amazed me on how much he can teach in two hours. If you need a good tutor, Kyle is the guy to see. It's definitely worth every penny.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Received a 36 all three times I took the test.

My highest score on the test: 33.

I am proficient in Calculus through vector and multivariate calculus (usually covered in Calculus 3). I have had practice applying Variational Calculus in my physics coursework. I received a 5 on the AP Calculus BC test.

I completed 35 hours of chemistry courses, receiving a GPA of 3.45 out of 4.0. I have done particularly well in Physical, Inorganic, and General chemistry. I received a 5 on the AP Chemistry test.

In college I took an advanced math class in Differential Equations. I also have appropriate experience applying linear algebra in many of my physics classes: mechanics (simple harmonic motion), electricity and magnetism (wave equation), quantum physics (Schrodinger equation), and thermal physics (multivariate differential equations).

In college I took an advanced math class in Linear Algebra. I also have appropriate experience applying linear algebra in two semesters of quantum mechanics and one semester of scientific computing.

I completed 55 hours of coursework in physics, receiving a GPA of 3.55 out of 4.0 and distinction in physics upon graduation. I have completed advanced coursework in Mechanics, Special Relativity, Electromagnetic Fields, Thermal & Statistical physics, condensed matter (solid state) physics, Quantum Physics, and Electronic Circuits. I received a 5 on both the Mechanics portion and the E&M portion of the AP Physics C test.

We should first try to think of a way to form an equation. We'll need to solve for the number of mL from the first solution and the number of mL from the second solution. Because there are two variables that need to be solved for, we'll need to form two equations. Two concepts...
