Ever since I was little, I’ve sewn my own Halloween costumes, doll clothes and dress up outfits. Later on when my older sister, Criscell and I were confronted with expensive prom dresses, I decided to put scissors to fabric once again. This is where I gained a love for sewing and creating my own masterpieces. My schooling at Salt Lake Community College’s Fashion Design program has only nurtured and deepened this passion of mine. I've learned so much over the years and I love showing people all the amazing things you can do with a yard or two of fabric.
I grew up in a musical family. My father was, and still is, the band teacher at my old high school, and all growing up my mother taught flute lessons in our home. Because of this I gained an appreciation for beautiful music. I've been playing violin since I was 9 years old. I was concert mistress in the Idaho Falls Youth Symphony for two years, and was 2nd chair, 2nd violin in the Idaho All State Orchestra my senior year of high school. Thanks to my parents, music is another passion of mine and I love seeing that passion come alive in other young students.
