I have two years teaching experience through the Alliance for Catholic Education, which is a two year M.A. program run by the University of Notre Dame. Come the fall I will be teaching 5th grade at St. Francis Xavier school in Wilmette, and I am looking forward to tutoring students during the summer and beyond. My educational background focuses largely on history, so I would be excellent for either elementary Social Studies or high school history instruction. I am also particularly adept at teaching mathematics and other subjects in ways which keep students interested and engaged in lessons while simultaneously communicating concepts which are crucial for continued success. I have had training and experience with students with exceptionalities including both gifted and ADHD. Most students, but particularly these, benefit from individualized instruction which is what I can provide in a tutoring environment.
