I am currently working in a Chinese immersion program. I use 90% of Chinese to teach children everyday conversation, math, science and culture. They learn the language naturally and can speak and listen like native Chinese in 3 years. They can read simple books and write many characters. Children absolutely love it!
Before entering this school, I taught in other center-based language schools and after-school programs in public schools. I love to teach with a lot of activities and games and singing so the children can learn and have fun.
I have been tutoring Chinese for more than 5 years. I teach both children and adults. I love the immersion method and strongly believe that it is the best way to teach real language, especially Chinese.
I understand the cultures of both China and the US pretty well. I love to involve teaching culture in my language teaching.
Well, it is a hard language to learn. It's very different from English. It can be also fun and very interesting at the same time.
