I spent three years working with high school and elementary school students in a variety of ways. I was a special education assistant at Lane Tech College Prep High School, one of the best public schools in the state. I was responsible for working with students with special challenges to meet or exceed the educational goals set for them by their Individual Education Plans. I also participated in the theater program at Lane Tech, working with students in stage combat. I also worked at Salmon P. Chase Elementary School in the after school program as a theater instructor. I was in charge of a class of ten students, introducing them to concepts in acting, playwrighting, and improvisation and stage combat.

Working to help others has always been important to me. My goal is to serve others through instruction so they can reach their goals.

Theatre

I have been an actor, singer, and stage combat designer and teacher for 15 years. I have appeared on a dozen stages around Chicago, working with A Red Orchid Theater, The Hypocrites, and Black Ensemble.

Public Speaking

As a performer and actor for over 15 years, I have delivered performances to audiences numbering in the thousands. I have studied public speakers and their methods, and have been able to instruct others through coaching and technique, how to deliver their message in a clear and confident way.
