I've taught English and Writing for all levels (for Honors students and students who have learning disabilities) for five years at a charter school on the northwest side of the city. I've also taught AP Language and Composition for two years. The school places great emphasis on the ACT, so I'm familiar both with the test and strategies one can use to do well on it. Moreover, during Academic Lab (study hall), I help students with Algebra and other homework.
For tutoring, I'm comfortable helping students with existing work or even creating materials based on student need.
