Hi there! After a 20+ career in local broadcast television and corporate events production, I've decided to change my focus and teach music and stage presence. I've been a musician since I was a child; I sang in my mother's church choir, took piano lessons, and played French horn through college. After 10 years of vocal lessons as an adult, I've begun my own career as a jazz vocalist. And, I still sing in church every weekend.
I am excited to offer you my vast experience to help you further your studies. For vocalists, I think it's important to learn the principles of music, to use proper vocal technique, and to cultivate a captivating stage presence. That said, I'm happy to help you with the style of music you are interested in mastering, and teach you the above things as we expand your repertoire. If you are looking for general music studies, we'll begin with the basics and work our way forward, with theory, history, and selected pieces from great composers. If you are in need of help with public speaking, let my experience in broadcast television and my own education in personal presence techniques help you become a compelling speaker.
