I am an experienced English teacher who has taught writing and literature at Rutgers University, SMU, University of Texas, Columbia College. I was a full time English teacher at Evanston Township High School for nine years and a long term substitute at New Trier. I am certified in English, specialize in college admission essay writing and working with teenagers.

I am a published Novelist who was a NYT Notable Book and have written a book on writing College admission essays called Pitch Perfect. I have presented at NCTE, ASCD and IATE on the topic of adolescent literacy.
