Tutoring in Philosophy, Theology, Religion and Humanities

I have been teaching college level courses now since January of 1998; my subject of expertise is in Philosophy, Religion, Theology and Humanities.

I have lived overseas in Europe and the Middle East for a number of years as well as having served three tours in Iraq as a Psychological Operations Expert.

My unique experiences have allowed me to share in depth studies in Philosophy, Theology and Religion in the classroom not afforded to most students and/or undergraduates. Furthermore, it provides me the opportunity to teach skills necessary for students to research, critique, and think for themselves. I believe by integrating etymology, philosophy, theology, and history students are able to formulate a personal worldview, as well as understand and comprehend the philosophical and theological worldviews of other individuals, cultures, and societies.

I know that at this point in my career, I am young enough to relate to younger as well as older students in order to meet their expectations, ideals, and needs. In addition, my military experience has provided me the opportunity to work with people of diverse ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds, not only within the United States, but also abroad (i.e. North Africa, Central America, Europe, and most recently the Middle East). My vast Army experience has afforded me the proficiency needed to teach the various disciplines with discernment and sensitivity; which is a must in today’s multicultural classroom.

I believe my formal studies, teaching experience, world travels, continuing education, and my passion for learning are a personal calling and not just a career and would be a great asset to your academic endeavors.

Religion

I am presently teaching classes on World and Comparative Religions; I cover and explore the principle doctrines, behavior and sphere of influence of Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Shinto, Daoism, Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Tribal and New Age Religions.

I also cover some minor but well-known worldviews relevant to present day society, such as Satanism, Paganism and Wicca to name but a few.

Bodybuilding

I am a US Army Fitness Instructor and am AMFPT Certified. I am a Personal Fitness Instructor with over 25 years of experience.

I have trained others with Static Contraction Training Principles, Power Factor Training Principles and High Intensity Training Principles.

The Goal of any Fitness or bodybuilding plan is to achieve ones goals by training Smarter, not necessarily harder.

Bible Studies

I have Masters Level Studies (MA in Philosophy of Religion and Religion) in Systematic Theology, Philosophical Theology, Biblical History and Apologetics.

I have taught Biblical studies formally at the college level for College students in various Campus Clubs, Organizations and Associations, as well as in various Churches for Adult Sunday School studies.

Greek

I learned formal Greek (Writing, Reading & Speaking) as my first language as a native while leaving in Greece.

I continued Greek Studies at the University of Illinois @ Chicago and Koine Greek Studies at the Graduate level at Seminary for Theological Studies.

I worked for three years as a Translator and Interpreter for a Private Greek firm in Chicago using Greek to English and English to Greek for Commercial, Political and Historical purposes.
