Hello! I currently am a professional Writing, English and ESL instructor. I have my masters degree (MA in WRD) in teaching writing and a Graduate TESOL certificate from DePaul University. I also have my B.S. in Technical Communication with a minor in journalism from University of Wisconsin-Stout.
I have tutored undergraduate and graduate college students for the last six years. I also have six years of experience teaching ESL adolescents and adults. My teaching methods are collaborative and I work hard to engage the student in the learning process. The student's learning goals are always the focus of any lessons.

I have tutored a number of students in preparing for the ACT. For the English portion of the exam, I can help you improve your skills in punctuation, grammar and usage, and sentence structure, as I have taught, tutored, and taken graduate courses on these topics.
Additionally, I have a Master's degree in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse and my skills in this discipline can help you hone the rhetorical skills necessary for the ACT. Beyond the subject matter of the English portion, I can help you practice important test-taking skills specific to the ACT such as distinguishing main ideas from details and ways to write more quickly.
