Hello! I am currently a graduate student at DePaul University, where I am studying teaching literacy and composition, in addition to earning my TESOL certificate. In 2009, I received my B.S. in Technical Communication from University of Wisconsin-Stout with a minor in Journalism.
I have tutored undergraduate and graduate college students for the last six years. I also have six years of experience teaching ESL adolescents and adults. My teaching methods are collaborative and I work hard to engage the student in the learning process. The student's learning goals are always the focus of any lessons.
I have worked and volunteered at digital start-ups, non-profit organizations, community centers, and secondary and post-secondary classrooms. At these locations I have taught and performed English pronunciation, grammar and mechanics, composition, editing, revision, reading, analysis, brainstorming, and creative and business writing.
I have also written, edited, and published web publications, literary and academic journals, business documentation, newspaper articles, cultural reviews, theses and dissertations, and job hunting materials.
I hope in someway I can help you with your English, literacy, and ESL goals. I am available for both in-person and online tutoring. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, I hope to hear from you soon!
