I am a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a bachelor's degree in Biology and Spanish.

I am best equipped to tutor advanced subjects of physiology, anatomy and Spanish and am very qualified to tutor basic levels of biology, chemistry, physics, Spanish and math. Most of my tutoring experience is at the middle school level in all subjects including reading, math, science and social studies.

My philosophy of tutoring includes a guided learning experience where I guide the student in coming to the correct solution versus giving it to them and asking them to regurgitate the process. I believe that the key to reaching a students full potential is gaining the confidence in him/herself to perform well independently. I am happy and excited to help your child!

Biology

As a biology major, it is safe to say that this topic is one of my strengths. I loved my biology classes and excelled in all areas, including cellular biology, genetics, biophysics and physiology.

Spanish

After spending extended periods of time in Nicaragua, Chile, Argentina and Peru, I have gained not only a fluency for the Spanish language but an exceptional cultural perspective on central and South American culture. As a Spanish major, I perfected the grammatical idiosyncrasies of the language. I am excited to not only share the language but also expose you/your child to the different cultures of the Spanish-speaking world!

Anatomy

As a pre-physical therapy student, anatomy has been an important subject in my curriculum. I completed and excelled in an advanced anatomy class that included human dissection. Nothing intrigues me more than the human body, and I am both qualified and excited to be your anatomy tutor!

Basketball

Basketball has been a part of my life since I can remember, as I grew up watching all of my 3 older siblings playing and started to dribble around when I began to walk. I love both watching and playing the game. I was a point guard but also played shooting guard.

Tennis

I took tennis lessons for 6 straight summers and was trained by an acclaimed tennis pro. I continue to play both competitively and for fun. I am happy to help you with your game whether you want to learn to hit back and forth or perfect your slice serve!

Volleyball

Volleyball has been my passion as soon as I started watching my sister play while I was in elementary school. I started going to camps when I was in 5th grade but was not able to play for the school until 7th grade. I played every year and also played 1 year for Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
