Hello!
My name is Alex. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Chicago in Environmental Studies, with a focus on Public Policy, Law, and Economics. I am currently a graduate student at the University of Illinois at Chicago's Liautaud School of Business. I previously was a managing partner of a Chicago tutoring company specializing in test preparation and subject tutoring with a unique methodology. I specialize in Math (Algebra I and II, Geometry, and basic arithmetic), Science (I have experience with science fair competitions, having been awarded several places in the Virginia State Science Fair and the International Science and Engineering fair, hosted by Intel), and English and Reading (including grammar rules, essay writing, and reading comprehension for all ages). In addition to my Math and Science background, I am an excellent researcher and writer, having published several projects for various NGOs in Chicago. I hold over six years of experience developing remedial programs for Math, Science, English and Reading subjects.
I believe solutions are not just isolated answers but part of a process that requires a true understanding of academic concepts and their global connections. In my free time, you'll find me playing the piano or paddling my canoe on the Chicago River. I am an Eagle Scout and absolutely love the outdoors. I always enjoy a good laugh about anything with my students.
Happy Studying!
Alex
