I have a big passion for foreign languages, and, especially for teaching Spanish and ESL. I am currently in my Master's program in Spanish at Loyola University. I truly believe that every person can learn a foreign language without difficulties-all that person needs is just some help from a talented teacher who can help him/her to choose the right learning methods. And this teacher is me. I am a native Russian speaker, so I learned English, Spanish and Italian by taking classes, so I know better than natives speakers of those languages what are the best methods for a quick learning. I've taught English and Spanish for about 5 years so far. I mostly taught 10-year-old kids and young adults. For me, teaching a language is not just learning the grammar. I think it's very important to show students the connection between the language and the culture of the countries where it's spoken that's why I often show them videos, movies, music and photos. I always try to create a positive atmosphere during my class because I want my students to feel comfortable to ask questions. I always let them know that making mistakes is not bad because they actually learn from them. During my class I try to speak only that language, so students get used to hearing and understanding it.
