My name is Victoria, and I am a private mathematics tutor in the Chicago area. I provide in home tutoring, and I am prepared to travel to your preferred location. Alternatively, students are welcome to meet with me in my home office.
My services include:
-Test prep, including the SAT and ACT
-Individual help with math homework
-All levels of math, including junior high, high school, and college classes
I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008 with a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences with an additional major in Logic and Computation. I finished my M.A. in Mathematics at UCLA in December 2009.
I began working as a teaching assistant in 2006 while I was still an undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon, and have continued to TA at UCLA and UIC. When not teaching or working on my research, I enjoy performing magic. I am a member of The Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA. I also enjoy playing music and making things out of stained glass.
