I’ve been teaching one subject or another almost all my life (as I mastered each one in turn), from teaching reading to fellow students in grade school, martial arts and weight-training in high school, health topics and public speaking through the years, to teaching enthusiasts and fellow photographers at the present. Most of the time it’s been one on one although I’ve worked with groups ranging up to 5,000. Since people learn in different ways, I’m adaptable, I keep it simple, and try to make it fun. Tell me what you want to do, and I can teach you how.
A professional photographer since 1996, my work has appeared in books and magazines throughout the U.S. as well as in Europe. Clients have covered the spectrum - from National Geographic and Oxford University Press to the Wisconsin State Fair Physique Contest! Although I love film, my work has been 100% digital since ‘04.
Other image-editing programs have played a part, but ever since Photoshop 5 and on through the various “CS” series, Photoshop has been the backbone of my digital workflow. I’ve helped others learn to work effectively with it, and I can help you, too.
