I recently graduated summa cum laude from DePaul University with a degree in Sociology, a discipline that requires structured, organized, clear writing.

The writing process is challenging. Staring at a blank screen can be incredibly intimidating, and spending hours writing an essay you are not satisfied with can be frustrating. I would like to work with your student at any stage of the writing process, and not only improve their essay but more importantly their writing skills.

I have experience teaching and tutoring students of all ages, from 3 years old to adult. I am bilingual and have 3 years of experience in preschool and elementary school Spanish lessons. I have worked in after-school program with middle and high-school students. Currently, I am a peer career advisor at DePaul University, in which I work one on one with undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni on cover letters, resumes, and personal statements.

Sociology

I majored in Sociology in college and it is my true passion. In my undergraduate career I excelled in all my basic coursework including Introduction to Sociology and Social Problems and my advanced core coursework including Social Theory, Research Methods I and II, and Social Statistics. My interests in the field are health and illness/medical sociology, sex and gender, race, and research methods. I hope to pursue a higher degree in Sociology in the future.
