I am Ezohn. My experience includes teaching, tutoring, and youth development. I specialize in teaching the essential concepts necessary for mastery of elementary and high school mathematics and English. I work with youth ages 8-18 from diverse backgrounds. My approach includes establishing a meaningful and non-threatening environment that fosters motivation, communication, and fun. Motivation provides students with a sense of competence. This instills self confidence. Communication provides opportunities for input from both students and tutors. This input is used to develop strategies for setting and achieving realistic goals. Finally, fun is infused by teaching students in a manner in which they are comfortable. For example, some students have overcome challenges by using music, poetry, and drawing. These tools can be used to increase understanding and establish connections between virtual and real-world situations. I truly appreciate you choosing me as a tutor.
