I am a certified elementary teacher who worked with first graders for Chicago Public Schools for four years before deciding to be a stay-at-home mom. I have a master's degree in elementary education from DePaul University. Before obtaining a full time teaching position, I was a substitute teacher for the Chicago Public Schools and have experience working with children as young as preschool, to eighth grade. I even taught spanish to preschoolers. I have experience in Everyday Math, Foss Curriculum, Math and Reading Extended Response, Harcourt, McGraw Hill, and Lucy Caulkins Writers Workshop. While in college as an undergraduate student, I was a tutor for Chicago Public Schools for two years.
I love working with children, and I miss teaching! I will happily tutor your child in any area he or she needs! I have many, many resources, books, and fun activities to make learning fun and exciting for your child.
