I have had much experience in teaching foreign languages and some English as a second
language. I have been teaching for about 20 years. I love languages and people. It pleases
me when I see my students learn and they tell me that I make it easy for them to understand.
I am sensitive to students' individual learning style, so I gear my teaching to areas
that my students are interested in. I use fun ways to learn, with games, and props.
Depending on what the language is being learned for, I create my lessons accordingly.
If you are learning the language for a business, then I would teach the business language.
If you need to learn to pass the class at school, then I would help you get a great grade
in that class.
I let students speak freely, and I make corrections only at the end of their statements.
Students sometimes see that they have made an error and self correct. In this way,I don't
interfere with their learning process.
The best place to meet would be at Dominican University, as they have
quiet rooms that can be used for teaching.
