Hi! I'm currently a high school mathematics teacher at a Chicago Charter school. I'm looking to work with students full time, tutoring in the math subject area. I can also tutor throughout the school year part time as needed. In addition to my current teaching experience, I've worked with students while student teaching at a Chicago Public School and taught summer school at a girls Catholic School. While studying math and secondary education at Loyola University Chicago, I was employed with the Gear Up alliance as an academic coach and mentor. In this position I was responsible for tutoring and preparing students for a college scholarship competition. As a math teacher, former tutor, and graduate of Loyola, I feel that I have the education and life experiences needed to be a quality educator, tutor, and mentor. My personality is laid back so I'm an easy person to get along with. This quality does not keep me from keeping a determined mindset and from having a hard working attitude. I am able to relate to all types of students of all ages and backgrounds. My goal is to teach and make material relevant for each student. I believe that if relevance is seen in the things we are learning that it becomes easier to absorb.
